Pumpkins & Halloween

In our small towns and villages, Halloween is a very big deal. You’ll see creatively carved jack-o-lanterns on porches, spooky white ghosts hanging from trees, and giant spiders crawling on lawns. There are community events with pumpkins, mazes and costumes. On Halloween night, kids go out in droves (and some great costumes) to trick-or-treat in our friendly neighborhoods, scoring bags full of candy. And it’s not all just for kids – those young at heart like to celebrate Halloween with after-hours events too.

Come over and participate in these fun traditions with us. Here’s what's going on.

Pick up some pumpkins

You need pumpkins for Halloween – to carve, decorate, or make a pie. You can get pumpkins from a store, but we have farm stands galore stacked with pumpkins! See our listing or just drive along our highways to spot them. Got some extra enthusiasm? Pick your own pumpkins right off the vine at the farms where they grow. Here’s a few. Remember, always call ahead of time to confirm hours and make sure pumpkins are available!
