Water brings birds of all feathers, even eagles so check in with the Otsego-Delaware Audubon Society and their sanctuary on Franklin Mountain.
These are the roads less traveled, so take one just to see where it leads you. . Stretch your legs at theNature Conservatory's West Branch Preserve outside of Hamden, pick up some local maple syrup at the general store, or a great meal at the inn. In winter snowmobilers take full advantage of all the state lands and trails. We’ve got the best chicken BBQ in the region, and you’ll find them grilling away at fairs and festivals all season long, but especially at the Delaware County Fair in August.
